the purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness, It's far great than your family, your career, or even your wildest dreams and ambitions. If you want to know why you were place on this planet, you must begin with God. You were born by his purpose and for his purpose.

Many times we ask self-centered questions like what do I want to be? what should I do with my life? what are my goals, my ambitions, my dreams for my future?

but but focusing on ourselves will never reveal our life's purpose.

if you were handed an invention you had never seen before, you wouldn't know its purpose, and the invention itself wouldn't be able to tell you either. Only the creator or the owners manual could reveal its purpose.

the bible says "self help is no help at all self sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self.

Matt16:25(msg)

this is not a self-help book. it is not about finding the right career, achieving your dreams, or planning your life. it is not about how to cram more activities into an overloaded schedule. actually, it will teach you how to do less in life by focusing on what matters most.

God has not left us in the dak to wonder and guess. He has clearly revealed his five purposes for our lives through the bible. It is our Owner's Manual, Explaining why e are alive, how life works what to avoid, and what to expect in the future. it explains what no self- help or philosophy book could know. The Bible says,

"God's wisdom. goes deep into the interior of his purposes.. it's not the latest message, but more like the oldest what God determined as the way to bring out his best in us"

1 Corinthians 2:7 (Msg)

"It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overal purpose he is working out in everything and everyone "

Ephesians 1:11

three insights in your purpose of life

1. discover your identity through a relationship with Jesus Christ

2. God was thinking of you long before you ever thought about him His purpose for your life predates your conception.

3.The purpose of your life fits into a much larger, cosmic purpose that God has designed for eternity. that's what this book is about.

Question to Consider: in spite of all the advertising around me ,

how can I remind myself that life is really about living for God, not myself?

Day 1 --It All Starts With God

The search for the purpose of life has puzzled people for thousands of years. That's because we typically begin at the wrong starting point...ourselves. But focusing on ourselves will never reveal our life's purpose. The Bible says, "It is God who directs the lives of his creatures; everyone's life is in his power."

Many people try to use God for their own self-actualization, but that is a reversal of nature and is doomed to failure. You were made for God, not vice versa, and life is about letting God use you for his purposes, not using him for your own purpose.

Andrei Bitov, a Russian novelist, grew up under an atheistic Communist regime. But God got his attention one dreary day. He recalls, "In my twenty-seventh year, while riding the metro in Leningrad I was overcome with a despair so great that life seemed to stop at once, preempting the future entirely, let alone any meaning. Suddenly, all by itself, a phrase appeared: Without God life makes no sense. Repeating it in astonishment, I rode the phrase up like a moving staircase, got out of the metro and walked into God's light."

You may have felt in the dark about your purpose in life. Congratulations, you're about to walk into the light.

okay these are my thoughts that I jotted down... now.. when you jot notes down.. nothing is wrong.. what you jot down... it is your thoughts... and what you share here... can be an inspiration to someone else... okay

first I wanted to know what MSG (Message) was .. it was and is translation of the bible... and I wanted to know why we used soo many different bibles.. it is not .. that this one is better then that one.. or that one is the right own... if you want to be techical... we really all need to go back to the very beginning and learn what the very first scripture was written in.. but tell you what don't think any of us.. or many of us are us to that challenge... so that is why there are translations... some understand the message... some New Living word.. some NASB... some King James Version... but all in all if they are sound based.. and if I am wrong in saying this.. and I know there are bibles out there that are not teaching of the Word.. I am not talking about them.... but the ones that I am speaking about ... are great doctorine.. to live by....

now I was thinking about when I was tihnking about God as a Whole I have always know there was one.. (God) never doubted that... much but what I did doubt could that God Love ME?

Well I am finding in this book.. HE wrote the Manual to show or HE SHOWS HE DOES

that we are and were created for and by HIS Purpose

okay it then goes on and talks about an invention in the next paragraph but the owners manuel ... but wow.... what a revelation... what is the word... it is the owners manuel totally cool... think about it... Basic instructs before leaving earth B.I.B.L.E. WOW....

It is only in God that we discover our origin, or identity, or meaning or purpose, or signivcance, and our destiny, every other path leads to a dead end,....

you know this is soo true and when you look at it is it really true where is our beginning and where is our end? IN God not in US through we fee we control NOT!!!

obsession with self in thes matters is a dead end, atteion to God leasds u out into the open, into a spacious free life. "Roman 8:6 Msg

now it talks about Self help and self sacrifce... and tell you what I got to thinking about that... when you help your self... that is self help but when you self sacrifice.. like Jesus.. did.. wow.... what a concept.. and how... well he gave a great example...

Many ppl go on the road.. to try to fine their purpose in life... some speculate... some come in to it by Revelation where we can turn to what God had revealde about life in HIS WORD.... amen

with out God Life makes no sense... I was drawing this... and I am going to do a graphic... the image that I came up with.. is that ... of someone going up a eculator... with God... they get to the top... and get to heaven with no problem... or get where they are going ... witho out God life makes no sense.. .and they fall off...

I was in IM with a dear friend the other night... and finally noting that the reason I had not been in RTB for a long while... and not writing to anyone or IM any one... is cause of a sin.. that I had fallen into... cause of things.. it is so simple to do.... to get caught up in the real world... to live with the real ppl... well guess I got hit with my own Manna yesterday... when I read it... I am posting it .. here ..

I am a doll creator... and while I have been learning to create... I got caught up in the clique with the ladies... and they got to talking to me.. and egging me on.. telling me that I would be soo much better in these other groups... well yeah... I bought into it... and I went... and wanting me to make the more provocotive stuff.... and do the more provocotive.... stats... and tags..... and no.. I did not... but it led me to see.. things.. that have harbored.... things in my mind.. and the truth of the matter ... garbage in garbarge out.... you can not put .... that kind of stuff in the temple of the Lord... Jesus can not reside... in your heart... He gets pushed out... and while no this is not part of the purpose driven... it is... cause HIS PURPOSE is for us to serve him... and I was not... I was serving man... so I am saying this. much... please .. know... that I am going to be deleting many groups ... many emails... UGH... wow... yeah I do alot of stuff besides.. RTB.... and I am well known in the internet world... but.. that is not my thing.. what this precious person told me is to make a stand for HIM... and what I did was follow the crowd.... UGH... so... please... if you have a similar situation... you don't have to speak about it... but just know your purpose is to be totally on fire for God.... no for MAN....

DAY ONE

IT ALL STARTS WITH GOD

Well, like I suspect a lot of us, I knew in my heart that it is all about God, and

not me, or my family and friends, or even the world and its people and problems

but it is all about God, but really do or did not act like it. How much of each

day do I devote to God? Yes I pray daily, do The Word, and God is often

on my mind each day, and talk to Him, listen for Him, but some days are less

God-centred than others. I want to be totally centred on God, every day;

to live continually in His Presence even while here on earth.

It is God who directs the lives of his creatures; everyone's life is in His

power. JOB 12.10 TEV

You exist only because God wills that you exist.

You were made BY God and FOR God. It is only in God that we discover

our ORIGIN, our IDENTITY, our MEANING, our PURPOSE, our SIGNIFICANCE, our DESTINY.

You discover your IDENTITY and PURPOSE through a relationship with Jesus

Christ.

God's PURPOSE for my life was planned by Him before I even existed.

ASK GOD what your purpose is.

How can I remind myself that life is really about living for God, not myself?

(A sense of peace enveloped me when I read this what I wrote just now, above.

All MY problems pale when I think about life is about living for God, not myself,

and I do have problems).

I love God, The Trinity, so much. I WANT to serve Him because I love Him. I

WANT to do His Will because I love Him. What is my identity and purpose

through Jesus? I KNOW who I am and what I am. I KNOW why I am on earth.

I am being refined, being taught, to take my place in heaven. This life is character-building and a challenge, and a trial to make us better people for when we do

finally meet Jesus. In a sense I believe we chose to come here to earth, rather

than be in heaven where yes we would be lovely and sinless and pure but not

be the strong people and type of characters we are without the trial of life on

earth with all its griefs and joys.

Something really struck me in this chapter. Your purpose in life is greater

than your own personal fulfillment, peace of mind or even happiness. Happiness

is not the be and end-all, the elusive goal to achieve or pursue. There is something greater here. Contrary to popular belief you WON'T find life's meaning looking

within yourself. Being successful (having everything you want) is not the same

as fulfilling your life-s purpose.

What do we do when philosophise about the meaning of life? First, speculation.

But what we do need is God's REVELATION. The Bible is one very good

way to find this. Another is through study, other spiritual reading materials,

always prayer and talking and listening to God.

God was thinking of you, long before you ever thought of Him. His purpose

for your life predates your conception. He planned it before you existed,

WITHOUT YOUR INPUT.

Wonderful Counsellor, Holy Spirit, open our hearts, minds and ears to
