In Matthew, Chapter 16:24-27 it tells us: Then said Jesus unto his disciples, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then he shall reward every man according to his works"...
/// All my life I knew I carried a cross. I just could not relate all the literal and spiritual meanings of this thought. But awhile back I received a message so powerful, it spoke volumes to me.

Ponder this question: "Is there no other way, Oh, God, except through sorrow, pain and loss, to stamp Christ's likeness on my soul? No other way except the Cross? And then a voice stills all my soul, as stilled the waves of Galille. "Can'st thou not bear the furnance, if midst the flames I walk with thee? I bore the cross, I know its weight; I drank the cup I hold for thee. Can'st thou not follow where I lead? I'll give thee strength, lean hard on ME!!!"
"If you never felt pain, then how would you know that I'm the Healer? If you never went through difficulties, how would you that that I'm a Deliverer? If you never had a trial, how would you call yourself an overcomer? If you never felt sadness, how would you know that I'm the Comforter? If you never made a mistake, how would you know that I'm forgiving? If you never were in trouble, how would you know that I will come to your rescue? If you never were broken, then how would you know that I can make you whole? If you never had a problem, how would you know that I can solve them?"
"If you never had any suffering, then how would you know what Jesus went through? If you never went through the fire, then how would you become pure? If I gave you all things, how would you appreciate them? If I never corrected you, how would you know that I love you? If your life was perfect, then what would you need Me for?" ///Praise God, Thank You Jesus!!!
The answer is soo clear, and I pray it might help someone else questioning their "Cross" they are carrying!!! In Christ's Ministry: Dorothy
