O Precious Father
O precious Father, give me time to meditate on you;
Grant me Godly wisdom when deciding what to do.
Bless me with serenity when I seek Your perfect way,
And diligence to walk the path, that I should never stray.
Keep my heart and eyes affixed to the life that You proclaim;
Help me accept Your chastisement when I'm the one to blame.
Lord, through Your Holy Spirit, Keep me in Your fold,
And when I need to face the world, the strength that I'll be bold.
Help me sow the seeds of faith as others weed and hoe,
And anoint my steps with righteousness wherever I may go.
Remember me when things go wrong, that I'm a stranger in this land;
Please keep the fire lit for me, and don't let go my hand.
