I was just another stone That the builders threw away. Tossed into the rubbish pile, Twas there I thought I would stay.
The Master Builder came by As He walked along the street. I felt like just another Rock there at The Master's feet.
With a wide smile on his face, He lovingly lifted me Out of life's dirt and garbage, His plan I just couldn't see.
He looked past my rough edges, Yes, He looked down deep inside. He saw what the others missed, Brought out what I tried to hide.
Just a small spot in the wall Was all I wanted to be. The Master had other plans In His scheme of things for me.
He took off my rough edges, He gave me all that He had, Even though I resisted, He never quit or got mad.
I'm still not part of the wall, He gave me a better place. I'm in The Master's chamber, Each day I behold His face. |
