A Friend in Jesus
We have a friend in Jesus,
He listens to us all,
No problem of the heart
Is ever too big or small.
In the midst of weakness,
He is ready to share
Every heartfelt sorrow
To keep us from despair.
He sees every sadness,
Keeps unwept tears at bay,
Always here to guide us,
See us throught each day.
When we leave ourselves
Safely in His care,
We feel His gentle comfort
Upon life's thoroughfare,
Giving us the strength
To rise above our trials
Face the world with courage
And a willing smile,
Knowing in our hearts
We only need to pray,
And He will help us overcome
Whatever comes our way.
