Dearest Doc,

Oh My God, i am so very sorry............i can't believe this has happened twice already!!!! I know exactly what u are talking about as far as the open wound and the packing. I had emergency galbladder surgery about 5 years ago. The hole they used to pull the "bladder" out of got gangrene because the "bladder" was so infected when they finally removed it. When they took the staples out (cuz they had to due to the obvious infection) it had to be cleaned and packed 4 times a day to make sure it stayed clean and would heal from the inside out...........as it looks your wound has to do now. So, again, my dear friend, i literally feel your physical pain as i will NEVER forget how badly it hurt for the visiting nurse to pull out the old packing and insert the new. I prayed for the Lord to take me everytime she had to do it........it is truly excruciating pain. I'm so very sorry you have to go thru that. You ARE indeed in my prayers and thoughts............for everything you need.......strength to get thru the cleaning and packing of the wound, finances to get thru the ridiculous costs of medication, strength to recover physically as well as emotionally and prayers for your dear family as they have to watch their loved one go thru this yet again and so severely this time. I will pray for all of your needs, those i know of and those i do not............you are soooo very brave..........just keep reminding yourself everyday, that our Lord will carry you thru this!! God Bless you and your family, my friend.......and may another brown recluse never find it's way near you or yours again. I think it's fair to say they've had their fill (not to go on to another victim and their family........but just to go on it's way into the woods somewhere to a nice warm hole in the ground and stay there!!!!). Is there any way to combat this problem with them? Any kind of extermination, preventitive measures so they will stay away from your house and family? I know here in PA (although we do not have problems with spiders such as these), the exterminators come around and spray and leave jelly like substances around the border of the house (where the house touches the ground on the outside) as well as leaving a jelly like substance way in back of the inside of cabinets........to keep spiders, ants, roaches, etc out of your house or kill them as soon as they get in (as they will eat this jelly substance and die and even bring it back to their young to feed to them, therefore getting adults and young.........and keeping them at bay so to speak). Anyway, just a thought. Hopefully there is something in your area they can do to try and keep them away from your homes. I have heard of these spiders and every story i have heard is a terrible one...........they are truly terrible creatures. I know our Lord made all of His animals for a reason and am sure they are needed on Earth to keep something in check, but hopefully there is a way to keep them away from us and where they belong doing whatever it is the Lord needs them to do in nature.

So sorry for babbling. That is the last thing you need right now. Just want to let you know, you and yours are in my thoughts and prayers. Be well, my friend........and may you recover as quickly as possible, and never encounter (at least so closely) these creatures again!
