Hello everyone. So sorry I haven't been around much lately, but I have had somethings going on here at home.

I am going to try to explain, but first I must ask you all to keep my roommate and her unborn child in prayer.

Here is why:

First off, my roommate is now 36 weeks pregnant and we have found out that the baby is a girl. Her name will be "Miracle Samaria Michelle". Miracle has what is known as CDH ( congenital diapragmatic herniation). Which means she has a hole in her diaphram. Her stomach is up where the heart should be and her heart is on the right side, both causing her lungs to not expand.

When she is born she will have to have immediate surgery to correct this, but before surgery, she will have to be put on a ventalator to help her breath.

My roommate is in Nashville, Tn., right now and being checked by the doctors at Vanderbilt Medical Center. They have all the equipment needed to help Miracle to survive.

So as you can see I have been worried and concerned.

Please pray as you have never done before.

Thank you everyone for understanding.                    MAY

I am really sorry to hear about your roommate. My niece had a baby last April who had a condition where she was born with a hole in her skull and had to have surgery immediately. It turned what should have been a joyful time into one of fear. But they do such wonderful things now. Is she being induced so they can prepare for everything? Please let us know what happens when you have a chance. I keep them in my prayers.

                         UPDATE

Miracle Samaria MIchelle Cowans arrived on June 29, 2006. Weighing in at 7 lbs 8oz and 21 inches long.

They did the surgery the same day and she is doing well. Mom is doing well also after having to go thru a C-Section herself.

Praise the Lord all seems to be going great.

Thank you everyone for the prayers and the concern. Please keep them in prayer, as it is still along way to go before they can both come home.

                    UPDATE #2

Miracle is doing well and so is Mom.
She has already gone thru 3 surgeries and still doing good.
Her weight now is up to 8lbs 8oz., and will be 3 weeks old this Thursday.
She still has a long way to go, so please keep those prayers coming for them.
I don't know when they will be coming back to Louisiana. But when I know I will let you all know.
God's blessings to all, and a very heartfelt thank you for your prayers.
