A very good friend of ours was in a terrible accident on Oct. 9. Tim was driving a semi that hit the vehicle of a mom and her 3 kids. The oldest boy died on Oct. 14. Tim is taking it very hard from what we hear so please keep them all in your prayers.
Thank you Laurie for letting us know about your friend Tim and the Munoz family who has endured such tragedy. I've been sitting here a long time in tears reading the story and the Munoz Caring Bridge site, including the comments in the guest book. What they have been through and will be going through for a long time is unbelievable. Their faith and strength is amazing! I will certainly be praying for all of them in the days and months ahead. The upcoming holiday season will really be hard for them and they need all the prayers they can get. May God in His love and mercy comfort and bless them.
Thank you for the prayers! I talked to Tim's wife today, Brenda, and she said Tim got a huge bump on his head, abrasions on his legs and a broken rib. He hasn't driven since the accident and the company is making sure he gets help if needed so he doesn't have flashbacks or anything. His truck was totalled. Apparently he drove onto the shoulder trying to get away from the car but it drove right into him. The young man driving who died a few days after the accident, was only 16 and so certainly hadn't had his license very long. She said Tim is doing better - the first week he was extremely shaken up but asks that we all still keep them all in our prayers. So far they haven't received any insurance information and they aren't doing well financially. Brenda has some serious health issues and one of their sons also has some problems. She said they were just getting to where they were going to be doing ok and then this happened. So prayers are needed for both parties.....
