Ruth, how is Harold doing? Do you know? I'm sorry to hear that he lost his mom on Easter years ago and now his dad passed away on Easter too. That's very unusual. I do hope he is leaning on God for strength and comfort and not blaming Him. I will be praying for him.
I lost my paternal grandfather to a stroke on Easter morning 1951 when I was 15 years old. I will never forget that day. My grandparents lived in Houston, TX and we lived in Shreveport, La. My dad tried to fly down there but there was a bad storm and planes were grounded so he didn't make it in time. Even the funeral was held in the rain a few days later. I had the idea that even God was crying .. both for our loss and for the joy of having him "home" for eternity. Dad's mom joined him in heaven on April 15, 1985. My dad died of cancer just 4 years ago on April 15 and he was buried the Saturday before Easter. What timing!
