must shew himself friendly:

Thank You, Jesus, for bringing me this friend. We've shared so much through Your love. Now help me follow your example and stick closer than a brother to my friend in need.
though Your touch may seem distant, help my friend cling to Your love. I trust that You will stick near us both as we walk together through this dark time.
Strengthen me to stay close to her during these struggles and show her Your love. By Your power, guide me to reach out. Use me to help meet my friend's needs.
