I hope all of you have had a nice weekend. What did you do? I just kept my bed warm. LOL My doctor is still after me to get my legs up and get more rest since my BP is still too high. I've been having trouble sleeping due to Restless Leg Syndrome so he added another med for me to take for that. It has certainly worked!
I have a "provider" coming 2 - 3 times a week and a home health nurse that comes once a week. I also have a physical therapist coming 3 days a week now for arm and leg exercises and to go walking with me to build up my strength. I have shortness of breath so I come home huffing and puffing after walking about 4 blocks. Thank God these are just minor problems but Diabetes and Renal Disease are scary as well as very aggravating when it comes to eating properly. I don't handle that as well as I should.
Are any of you acquainted with the P.E.O. Sisterhood? It is a Philanthropic Educational Organization founded in 1869 by 7 college girls who were students at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. There are now nearly a quarter of a million members! We own and operate Cottey College, which is a Junior College for girls in Nevada, Missouri. I am being honored soon by my P.E.O. Chapter IM, Texas for being a 3rd generation member of P.E.O. for 50 years! I was initiated on January 9, 1959. Now I'm a "Golden Girl".
