I'd like our Florida members who might be anywhere near the Orlando area to please advise our new member Matt on any pain management clinics or doctors they can recommend to him in that area. Harvey has already given his recommendations; thanks, hon! : ) I know we have half a dozen or so members in Florida, but it's a big state, so if any of you are closer to Orlando than Harvey, please pop in and help Matt out, ok? Thanks!

Cyndy

I live in Dunnellon, think that is too far for Matt.  I go to a dr in Ocala, Dr Pyles.  He has treated me very well.  He is the one who took a special xray when I had my pump put in and found the tube was just about out! So I got a new pump.  It was my insurance comp that took thier time!  I speak very well about the dr.

Matt,

I'm guessing since your name has UCF in it than we are pretty much neighbors. I live right off University. Anyway we're in the same sinking boat, if you are under the age of 50 and need a good pain doctor in Orlando you're out of luck. I read your post and for your doc to put no narcotics on your chart just b/c you said you were in pain sounds all too familiar.

I've heard that the needle is in the haystack if you have the money or insurance. You don't sound like you want to go on a steady stream of narcotics but really want to know what is wrong. I spent alot of time visiting different doctors and often times left the places feeling that I should have just burnt the money I spent. Doctors are idiots.

My friend goes to a orthopedist he seems to deem decent, I'll call him up tomorrow and ask what his name is.
