Oh, I see. OK. THAT kind of cyst. Well, that's a very different kind of cyst that one that's superficial and on your skin. And that's a very big operation to get rid of it.
I'm not sure that deep tissue massage will help you with that, but it might. Apparently he believes that what's hurting you is scar tissue and adhesions and that the massage will break some of that loose and that will help you feel better.
It could. It's helped others in similar situations. However, that scar tissue is deep and so it's going to take a therapist who really knows what he/she is doing. Also, it could be a painful experience. So be sure to take your medications before you go to the therapy.
Hon, don't feel bad about having to take medication for pain. Most everyone here does. We have to. It's no different than a diabetic taking insulin for diabetes or a heart patient taking nitroglyerin. You're just taking the right medication for the condition you have. That's all. OK?
