hi dan and eveyone ty for the warm welcome, back in 90 i had a cyst removed from my right overy ( bad spelling) they also took out the tube on that side, the cycst was the size of a baseball, i was fine up intill 8 months ago when i started to hurt, i have been thew alot of tests such as ct scans ultrasounds and x-rays, and nothing showed up, i went and saw a specialist and he said there is nothing to worry about there is no danger, he believes its scare tissue so he wants me to go in and try deep tissue massage to see if that will help. he told me that it wont get rid of it but it will help alittle bit, so i still will be on pills which i dont like, he wont do the surgey cause he says that there is a chance that it will make it worse so i will wait and see, thank you for responding to my post

Oh, I see.  OK. THAT kind of cyst.  Well, that's a very different kind of cyst that one that's superficial and on your skin.  And that's a very big operation to get rid of it.

I'm not sure that deep tissue massage will help you with that, but it might.  Apparently he believes that what's hurting you is scar tissue and adhesions and that the massage will break some of that loose and that will help you feel better.

It could.  It's helped others in similar situations.  However, that scar tissue is deep and so it's going to take a therapist who really knows what he/she is doing.  Also, it could be a painful experience.  So be sure to take your medications before you go to the therapy.

Hon, don't feel bad about having to take medication for pain.  Most everyone here does.  We have to.  It's no different than a diabetic taking insulin for diabetes or a heart patient taking nitroglyerin.  You're just taking the right medication for the condition you have.  That's all.  OK?

Lots of love and healing hugs,

Dan
