Hi Angel,
I'm Debra but go by tomcat here on the boards and I'm glad you found us. We are a great group of folks if I do say so myself! You have found folks who know what you are going through because we are in the same boat as you are, or we have been there before. You are no longer alone. That means so much to a chronic pain person. You are no longer alone. I related to your statement about your friend. Yep, I don't have any left either. It's hard to be spontaneous when you suffer chronic pain. (I wish my husband would fully accept that fact)
I'm so sorry for what you are going through with your doctors right now. It sounds horrible what you went through with the neuro recently. And you should file a complaint with the medical board about your current doctor cutting you off of treatment in the middle of treatment because of what happened with another doctor elsewhere. That should be against rules of some sort or another. Did he or she send you an official letter informing you that they were no longer treating you? If not, they have definitely broken your rights to treatment. (I worked as a medical office manager prior to going out on medical disability) If it were me, I'd file a complaint with the state medical board against them if they refused to see me again or refill my medication. And it sounds like that is what has happened to you. But that's just MY opinion.
I see that Dan already pointed out the good information over on the left of the boards. Our group discussions usually happen under the "general" board. Please join us there to post. Few people check the "bio" board very often. I just happened to come in today and look for someone else's bio and saw yours. I'm glad I did because I got to meet you. So please come on over to the general board so the rest of the folks can greet and meet you too. You can tell them you posted your bio and they can read more about you that way.
Looking forward to getting to know you better!
