You know I'm one that can't take anti-depessants. They just don't work well on me and I get all the bad side effects. Cymbalta was different. It didn't help the neuropathy it was supposed to help, but, by golly, it didn't hurt me either. No anxiety; no hyper activity... nothing. I couldn't tell I was taking anything. For me, that's a minor miracle. Hopefully you'll be able to take it without any side effects also. Everyone is different though. But I just thought you might like to know that I did take it for a month and had no problems with it. I quit it because it wasn't helping the neuropathy, but it didn't hurt anything. Hugs and lots of love, Dan |

All I can tell you is that I'm really, really, really sensitive to those sorts of medications. But I got along with Cymbalta just fine. Hopefully you will too. Hugs and lots of love, Dan |

Hi Cathy! I took Cymbalta for awhile, but I had a bit of a reaction. I went back to my old antidepressants, Welbutrin and Celexa. So far they're the only two that I haven't had reactions from, and I've been taking them for 5 or 6 years now. Good luck with the Cymbalta! God bless you. |

I sincerely hope you wouldn't want to hurt yourself. I do understand though that pain can drive you to the brink of sanity. At one time it drove me to the point I put myself in the hospital for three days. That was enough to do if for me and snap me out of it. Most of my depression arose from not allowing myself to admit to being disabled and moving forward in my life. Once I began to move forward, the depression lessened. But from time to time, depression does set in and I believe it's normal for chronic pain patients to feel this way at times. |
