Does holding onto memories of a deceased s/o (letters, card, photos, etc) make it more difficult for one to move on past the loss of their s/o?
Would it be best to just burn it all so you won't be tempted to keep looking at them and keep reliving the past?

I don't think so.Looking at things like this only make me remember how much I loved them. It's the kind of love that doesn't hurt as bad.

I would not consider disposing of all memories.

I would store them until such a time when I coud look at them.

I can understand diposing of the clothes and such, but never pictures or letters.
I personally see nothing wrong with reliving the past, there wasn't just sad memories but happy and funny and heart touching things to hold in my heart.

Oh no I think they make me remember how much a part of my life they were and still are..... My brother had a heart transplant in Pittsburgh and he was in our local paper and I still have all of the clippings... I read them every so often... I still have the shirt we got that morming that says "Presby the beat goes on"........
I think thats why God gave us the memories for they make it easier to move on with the death of a loved one.....
