I wonder if anyone could help me. I am trying to find out about my great grandmother Mary Cullen (this was her maiden name). She was born in Manchester.

In 1901 she was living with her sister-in-law Mary Ellen Garratt. On her marriage certificate to Robert Fletcher, her father was stated as John Cullen (gas worker/labourer).

I cannot seem to find any other information about her or her family. Mary Cullen had a sister called Delia.

Any information would be greatfully appreciated.

Can you tell us Mary's mother's first name?

Another question for you, Janice! Is it possible that Bridget's married name was in fact Boland, and not Rowlands?

Do you have Mary's marriage certificate? If so, her parents' names should be on there, and father's occupation and other details. Witnesses' names can be very useful clues too.
