Hi All;
Had some trouble determining who would be next week's featured brickwall so we're posting just one brickwall this week.
It looks like Jean got a lot of good stuff to work with so its time to move on to MOM (aka Susan) with "Lost and would like to find" posted on 12/26/2002, in which Susan is seeking information on the LAUDERDALE, REID/REED, and ESTES families. An updated gist (thanks Susan) follows.

Notes:
They lived in Creal Springs in Williamson Co., New Burnside in Johnson Co., and the Eddyville/Glendale area in Pope Co.
Georgia (aka Della) LAUDERDALE and Emma ESTES were living together in 1900 Pope Co. (census data).
In 1910, Bertha and Ora REID were living with Viola, while in 1920, Ora was living with 73 year old Viola in Creal Springs.
Ora was named as Viola's caretaker in 1934, at the time of Viola's death.

"I have checked all the Pope Co. records and do not find a marriage for Bertha. Who was Bertha's husband? Were their more children? Where did they disappear to?"
"Also lost Bertha's sister(s)...This LAUDERDALE family, moved a lot. The girls married in Johnson Co. and White Co. but I have found no marriage for Bertha or Georgie Della."

The George W. that married Mollie is George W.'s (Viola) nephew. He was
called Crippled George because he walked with a limp and to differentiate him from
preacher George and black George (a descendent of preacher George's uncle).
