Sofiero Castle is a flowering oasis on the outskirts of Helsingborg. Sofiero was King Gustavus Adolphus VI's beloved summer Castle. His famous collection of rhododendrons still grows and flourishes here, as do Crown Princess Margareta's fantastic herbaceous borders.

In the English Garden you can see the King's unique winery, Queen Ingrid's Fragrant Garden, The Lust Garden and Sofiero's Victorian Kitchen Garden.

There are also an restaurant, 'Sofiero Flower and Garden Shop' and the 'Crafts Workshop'. During the season there are also a variety of different exhibitions and arrangements.

Visit the castle and the beautiful garden by clicking on the photo!

Engsholm's Castle is dated to 1310. The castle was owned by the Dukes Erik and Valdemar, sons of King Magnus Ladulås. The building is called "The last Vasa Castle of Sweden". This site is very beautiful and interesting!

Hi Katty! I am glad you did find this board and my thread of Swedish castles. The site to Engsholm is one of my favorites. It is so beautifully done.

I recommend viewers to look down to left for the link Photos! There you can see some of the interior inside the castle. It is possible to rent a beautiful room there and be a guest!
