How it works: I give you a list of 10 words and you must use at least 6 out of 10, preferably all 10 if possible.
The poems must make sense.
This week there is no poem size limit.
Poem style - your choice. It's up to you, whether you want to write structured or unstructed, rhymed or no rhyme.

"Trove Unknown" While Equinox is out to play silently An equal game of darkness and light Zephyr plays his own game By touching me ever so gently Like me…we are on this ultimate search As I sit here quietly Covered by peace and tranquility I can feel your touch of fresh air As your breeze Brushes through my hair A flirting gossamer touch Gently caresses my skin As I stare upon the horizon wide Our search…the guest in life I can hear the laughter of drunken people Celebrating St. Patrick's Day In a distance far away Havoc takes place...in my own backyard Like a shooting star Scatters a million sparks in different directions The temptation to laugh To separate good from evil My goal in life I should rather avoid That's why I am here When the sun crosses the plain of earth's equator And day and night are of equal length My Trove still unknown…hidden in the dark soil of the earth.

A Vernal Equinox We have a celebration for the quest of love A vernal equinox It's a rebirth A treasure trove A taste of spring It's the ultimate quest to go the extra yard The Zephyr is temptation as love comes to us blown in, it is scattered A gossamer caress As the sun sets It's a rebirth A treasure trove A lovers midnight A vernal equinox |

Enchanted Glade S. Cat Mar 23/05
A whisper-soft, gentle zephyr Heralds the Vernal Equinox Nature's awakening kindles rebirth Spring's aromas perfume the air
In a quest for complete solitude, while wandering the sylvan paths I discover a delightful treasure trove A hidden glade sheltered deep within
Woodland creatures scamper away, to hide amongst protective foliage A few yards into the sun-dappled woods Peering out curiously as I approach
A crystal clear pool beckons 'neath a gossamer-misty waterfalls Liquid bubbles o'er the ciff's edge Fine droplets scatter in the breeze
An overwhelming temptation to disrobe Bare myself freely to nature's elements Immerse, feel the water kiss my body Defines the ultimate spring celebration.

I watched the celebration As the zepher blew dandelion seeds On gossamer parachutes Across the yard to me. It was a trove of beauty; The ultimate surprize And the temptation to play instead of work Overcame me, as I watched the seeds scatter! Oh, Beautiful Eqinox of Spring! |
