| 10 WORD CHALLENGE
Same rules as before - Try to use all 10, but if you can't then you must use at least 6 out of 10 words from the list in your poem. Words may be either singular or if they can be made plural, that's allowed too.

Jazlin, Great use of the word list, I loved the comparison of the plot being thickened into the unappetizing stew. This reminds me so much of politicians and their agendas - spoon feeding the public their pretty words that mean absolutely nothing. Hugssssssss Sassy *S* |

The Slave His presence silences her Fringes of lashes swept downward rest tearful on her cheeks Nebulous instincts coarse through her pounding heart RUN! ...though she remains still Humble, she waits until... Dale, Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Actually it took me about 4 days after making the list, before I ever attempted to write the poem and most times I usually have a picture in mind either during the writing or the minute I finish writing it. This time I had to go searching and I was having a hard time trying to find something to fit the mood of the poem. So I'm glad you think it went well with it. Hugsssssss Sassy *S* |

Thank you Sassy and Dale,  Your kind support means so much. I appreciate that you both enjoyed my word challenge poem. It was fun, and challenging. I did not read the other entries (for fear of inadvertently copying), and intended to read them after posting mine. As is too often, time did not allow it, but now reading them, I am so very impressed! Dale is right Sassy -- your words blend so beautifully carrying over into the image shown. Your vast and varied creativity creates a complete picture that stuns one into gazing at the lovely images, while absorbing the content. I am glad that I did not read the entries before writing mine. I would have been intimidated. Jazlin, Truth reaches out from your heart felt poem, gently singing into the reader the futility and melancholy of living under the hidden agendas of the powers that be. It is easily realated to, and so very well put. Your ability to softly say what others feel, is admirable. Your unique poem is exquisite. I enjoyed it very much. Love and Hugs, Mindy :-) |

Dearest Dale, Praise from you is heady indeed. Thank you for your generous response to my word challenge poem. I have missed not only you, but your fine poetry as well. It is nice to be posting again, and hope that this break will continue. Having such a warm and welcoming place to repose and compose, is a blessing that makes me grateful. I felt his presence
My instincts were to run
For no discernible reason,
I saw him as coarse. There was power in his silence.
He was wielding a shawl of fringe. He manipulates his audience
With nebulous intentions. I watched helplessly as
He swiched across the room,
Sal won the fashion competition
