Kazuka stood balancing on the top of the tallest tree. he held one hand by his feet as he crouched down. he held the other uselessly dangling by his side. it was late in the night. he didn't know what time it was, but guessed it was around 1am by the position of the moon.

he winced as he tried to move his useless arm. he quickly grabbed a kunai from his holder on the back of his belt. he put the handle in his mouth and darted to the next tree top. he tensed as he landed, which made him wince from pain.

blood ran down his un-tattooed arm as his wound became more serious. it had been open for several hours, and had gotten worse with every minute. As a proud ninja from the uchiha clan, he thought that he didn't need help, but with every painful movement he was getting less and less confident.

He darted to another tree top, then another, and after several hours of tree hopping, he stumbled. as soon as his foot slipped he knew what was going to happen. the trees were atleast 30 feet high and he knew the fall would hurt. he felt like he was in slow motion. first his foot slid forward, then his back went backwards. he fell down towards the earth, blood following slowly behind. he knew that falling on his back could be critical, so he quickly turned so his good side was facing towards the ground.

he landed hard on the dry dirt floor of the forest. pain shot up his shoulder and his other arm went numb. he tried getting up, but he was light headed. he strugled to move his arm to his head. he felt the side of his head, and realised that there was some warm liquid running down it. he moved his hand infront of his eyes, and realised it was blood. he winced as a wave of pain went through all his body. his vision blurred. he could only see an outline of the trees around him. just before everything went black, he saw someone running towards him.
