Thanks so much for the Birthday Wishes everybody! awwww.... That really means so much, especially since I have to come back to work on my birthday! Yes, Jenn, we are celebrating tonight by going out for Thai food, my fav, and watching hockey, although my best friend just jammed out on me, I will not take it too personally...my birthday is always hard for people because of the timing, most people are just too exhausted from the holidays. What can you do? But I am going to party anyway! Tonight I will be cheering on Canada at the World Jr's and then later The Oilers take on the Islanders so I will be hanging out with a few of my guy friends. Eating good food and watching sports... a perfect way to celebrate a Monday birthday!
We 'sorta' started the birthday party on Saturday because we were watching the NFL wildcard saturday action at my local bar and durng the Falcons, Cards game we won a free Oilers ticket package...with a Limo to take us and pick us up...Saturday was a pretty exciting day for this lady so that felt like an early birthday gift, but The Altlanta Falcons lost and I really wanted them to win, so it was kind of bittersweet. My Miami Dolphins also lost yesterday. <<cry>> This weekend nobody else from my family was able to get together for a celebration so we are going to have a potluck birthday dinner and games night next Saturday...so my birthday celebrations get stretched out this year which makes me happy! |

Happy Birthday hj!!!! Sounds like you had a great week-end, that's so cool, winning hockey tickets, plus a limo! How fun! When is that game? Did you catch the Wings game on New Year's Day, the one the played outdoors in Chicago? I would have loved to have been there, they won 6-4! Anyway enjoy your Thai food tonight, & have a great day! |

Thanks BB! It was exciting...the tickets were for the Dallas game Saturday night...it was very last minute. The Oilers beat Dallas 4-1 so that was also good! It was also televised on Hockey Night in Canada...do you guys get that in Detroit? Or the CBC? I don't know if you would get Canadian channels, but you guys are so close. I missed the heritage classic game in Chicago on the first, I really wanted to see it...I was with my family that day so I was not able to see it, we had a lovely afternoon and a big dinner. I bet it was so awesome. I would have loved to been there too, BB! |
