MARIA WILLIAM Thank you for writing, and for your kind words. Generally speaking, I don't mind my art being used in graphics, as long as copyright laws and the original art are respected.
I allow the use of my work for graphics such as signature tags, websets, stationery, etc., as long as you do not take my work apart. This includes, but is not limited to: Cutting the main figure out of original background and pasting it on top of a different background, or no background at all; Adding animations that distort the image, such as the main figure animated to move (minor animations such as a water ripple or a sparkle are fine); Combining my images with photographs, clipart or other artists' work; Painting over the original image, or changing the original color scheme of the image; Resizing the image without keeping the aspect ratio (i.e. taking it out of proportion). My foremost concern is that some sort of credit to the artist is added to the each graphic itself (not just on a separate credit page). If you'd like I can send you some examples of what's accepted and what isn't. If you respect those wishes, you're welcome to use any images you like (with the exception of those in "Pact of Zeranon" and "Commissions" sections, they are commissioned work I don't want distributed). Thanks, and take care. Maria "No Link SAC" |
