My Life ... from the past

Reflections upon my life
Splendor with mountain scenes
Terrain with
Images ethereal
Climb to the summit
Ordeal
Struggling to conceal
Agony of the climb
Lake reflections of wilderness
Facades shown upon my face
All emotions hidden
Like placid Lake
Clouds looming ahead
Recall
Thoughts dark and brooding
Of betrayal and love lost
Joy of motherhood
Events happening
Never still, ever moving
Placid moments before the storm
Thunderous undertones
Rain pours
Tears wash away
Regrets of past
Bearing pain caused
Washing away sinful pride
Look within
Clear reflections
Visions
Insightful eyes
Aware, perceive
Happenings
My life unfolding
Hope is there
Smiles and laughter
Will return
Forgotten pains like childbirth
Embrace birth and renewal
Growth . . . stronger still
Ability to handle strife
Go on with life
Bring serenity to souls
My destiny.

Thank you Jen, I was horrified when I saw all those strange things that appeared in my poem...I felt I had to repost so it could be easily read.

Hi, Maria. I actually like both of these. There is a sense of continuity in your re-write though. Of a closing circle. Excellent write. (And yes - the re-post was much appreciated - much easier on the eyes!)

Thank you Kayo, you never know the job of being married and having kids means until you are in the middle of it ... kinda scary, but I enjoyed Christmas and the holidays, a blessing really, I can't imagine it any other way.

Two very telling writes, Maria, prefer the second, but both are quite moving in content and mixed emotions....

we gleam the best of things as best we can, and life goes on, as they say....
I think you do an excellent self evaluation in both writes, but second got to me ust a little more deeply, Zy x
