A man unlocks a room with a key from his pocket.
He opens the door and walks into the room.
There in front of him, Romeo and Juliet are lying dead on the floor.

Can you figure out who killed them and how?

Here are the clues:

1. There's water on the floor along with broken glass.
2. The small window of the room (the only window in the room) is open.
3. There doesnt appear to have been a struggle, nor any weapons used.

It's over to you!

Well, since the window is too small for a person to have escaped from, either they took a suicide pack with pills and dropped the glass when they fell dead; or an elf did it!

They died by suffocation because they are fish!  Their bowl shattered by a breeze through the small window and knocked the bowl over lol.

Did someone throw a bottle full of a toxic substance through that small window, which broke, allowing the toxic to dissipated into the atmosphere after the time it took to poison the air Romeo and Juliet breathed whilest sleeping?

Leaving the clear water and the broken glass on the floor from the window. Mmnnn....

Lol actually Dixie was closest!

Romeo and Juliet were actually fish - they died because a cat came in through the window, knocked the fishbowl over, which smashed on the floor, leaving the water and broken glass, along with Romeo and Juliet, indeed, dead.

Nice guesses though anyone lol I love your idea Linereader!
