Autumn sunrise, casts long shadows Mist hangs in the vales Almost as snow, undecided yet where to lay Soft light reflections Give landscape a dreamlike quality Tree’s and masts rise in the fog Like a small harbour of ships, anchored there Mountainous hills protruding, like islands in the sea All is silent but for my tyres on tarmac And if it were not for the road ahead I should be a bird Flying, over the dawn of a new day |

"The dawn of a new day". With such poetic words, You'll always have your way. But you'd better watch out For birds flying overhead Just in case a Cheeky Bird Should splat upon your head. |

Yes, Steve, you captured that early morn in poetic form exactly. No mist here, not even early mornings, we have had sunshine. |

Beautifully written, Steve. There is a strong ethereal quality in this. I'm not usually a morning person either, but this is top notch! Merlin |

Steve, I wish that they'd pay me a million quid's worth of overtime. Just think of the chocolate I could buy with it. |

Cheers Merlin, I kinda cringe at all the sunrises I've missed, but I'm a sunset person. Lynn, if you win the lottery they give you guidance on safe chocolate levels... mine is a lorry load of fry's turkish delight if you feel generous |

I'll send them down in my private gold painted jet - but only as long as you buy me a lorryload of Flakes. |
