He certainly did a bang-up job of setting up MQOS & moving in for the kill, that's for sure  That fairly recent book on him (title escapes me atm, something about Elizabeth's Spymaster) is on my "to-get" list but I keep getting distracted by Tudory novels instead LOL |

Greensleeves, I believe the book you're thinking of is "Elizabeth's Spy Master" by Robert Hutchinson (2006). I bought the hard cover for myself as an early Christmas present in the fall. I got about a quarter of the way through it before I put it down and then didn't pick it up again. I find it quite dry, but maybe that's just me! Has anyone else read it? Linda |
