MONTPELIER, Ohio �?Daniel A. Roerig, age 46, of Montpelier, Ohio, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born July 20, 1961, at Fergus Falls, Minn., to Agnes F Cuffe and George N. Roerig, he had been a Montpelier resident since early childhood. A 1980 graduate of Montpelier High School, he was a graduate from RENZ Technical Institute of Toledo.
On Aug. 18, 1984, he was married to Andrea Wages, and she survives. Since 1995 he and Andrea have been co-owners and operators of Fackler Monument Company of Montpelier, serving the tri-state area.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Montpelier, and was presently serving as Grand Knight of the Montpelier Chapter of Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of Montpelier Rotary Club, Montpelier Moose Lodge, National Rifle Association and Pheasants Forever.
He was a mentor to many Montpelier youth over the years. A talented musician, for many years he was drummer and vocalist with The Wishful Thinkin�?Band of Montpelier.
Surviving, in addition to his wife are his parents, George and Agnes Roerig of Montpelier, Ohio; one son, Zachary George Roerig of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one daughter, Emily Roerig of Montpelier, Ohio; two brothers,Jerry (Kim) Roerig of Kettering, Ohio, and Paul (Cindy) Roerig of Montpelier, Ohio; four sisters, Janice (and partner Char Chrissman) Roerig of Columbus, Ohio; Judy (Mike) Barron of Angola, Ind., Midge (Joe) Blake of Montpelier, Ohio, and Michelle (Bill) Yosick of Omaha, Neb.

One more reason to hate ATWT: I admit I wasn’t a big fan of Alexandra Chando (Maddie) initially, but wow, did she ever win me over this past year. So, to learn that she was fired, and last appears in Oakdale on Oct. 26 when Maddie heads off to college, is really depressing. Now we have to deal with Nuke all by their lonesome �?thanks, a lot, Goutman!

In other casting news, ATWT has finally cast Holden’s new love interest, Bonnie, with Chauntee Schuler; she first appears on Nov. 5. Also, Wole Parks replaces Kenneth Griffin as some character named Dallas on Nov. 14. Look for Food Network star Sandra Lee to pop up on ATWT on Oct. 18.

Am I the only one who hates CarJack’s contrived reunion? Fans are loving it, but I just fast-forward through the mess. This week, Jack has sex with Carly, while Katie seduces Brad on Thursday. Poor Austin Peck (Brad) �?how long before you think it takes before he starts calling Carly, Carrie?

OMG, I thought I was the only one ffwding through this entire Carly and Jack rubbish -oops, I mean- reunion! How in the heck can you root for a relationship that's being built upon nothing but lies and deceit? I mean, really, where's the 'fate' in that?! You know they've messed up when the scenes with Katie and Brad are more interesting?

And can someone puhleeze take Meg and Paul in the woods and (well, how can I put this nicely...) mistake them for a deer?!

I actually ff through Luke and Noah. Think the story is dumb. The wirters haven't done anything with it.

However, I really like Thursday's show with Carly and Jack. It was the most romantic and sad one yet. The remembrance and tenderness that they both remembered brought tears to my eyes.

So Maddie and Casey fans are going to be livid about this one. There is new audition script out and it sounds alot like Casey though it doesn't say for sure if it is him. The script name is Dylan, and he just got out of prison. He and Ali are working in the hospital and he is telling her about how his parents are worried about him and everyone is worried he will explode at any givin moment. At the end of the script Ali and "Dylan" kiss.

So they just got rid of Maddie but are now bringing back Casey to pair him with Alison? This will NOT sit well with Masey fans considering they axed AC. hmmm.

The unthinkable has occurred in Oakdale when a heartbroken Lily tells Lucinda her marriage may be over. This isn't the first bump in the highway that the Snyders have encountered in the long winding road that is their marriage, but this could indeed be the final battle! Afterward, Luke and Holden face off! Will the Snyder men fight over their family's dissolution as a unit or other matters of the heart

On the other side of town, Maddie removes herself from the Luke and Noah equation when she confesses to Henry that she wants to transfer to another college away from Oakdale. Will he condone her request? We say, yes. But watching it play out is what's going to e interesting.

Elsewhere, Katie gets devastating news. Does she know of Jack and Carly's sexual rendezvous in Montana? Finally, Will gives Gwen a romantic gift, but will she be receptive to his offer? Check out As the World Turns this week to keep up to date with whose pairing on and off!

SOD:

Craig threatens Rosanna, telling her he will tell Paul about their plan if she won’t give him back ME. Rosanna calls off the wedding, gives ME back to Craig and runs off in her car upset. A worried Paul goes after her, remembering what happened the last time she was driving.

Emily comes back to town on October 24 and rumor has it shell be spending more time with Holden. My first scenes are with Jonny, reports Menighan Hensley, who has heard the rumors that she and her hubby will be an on-screen pair, which may or may not be happening. Jon and I, honestly, were both very much against it AT FIRST [emphasis mine], just because theres a new baby in the house and we really dont need to have the same schedule at this point. I think it would be fun for the fans, but I said to [Chris] Goutman [executive producer], I had a happy marriage for 11 years. Can we keep it that way, please? He laughed.

Putting aside the fact that this miracle(Meg's pregnancy) occurs despite the fact that Meg was told in the early '90's that she couldn't have children, Meg doesn't know who fathered her child. Craig finds the early pregnancy test and makes a show of celebrating the good news in front of Rosanna and Paul at the Lakeview.

Later, while Paul is breaking Meg's heart by insisting that her unborn son couldn't be his, Craig threatens Rosanna that he'll tell Paul about their deal unless she gives ME back to him. A tearful Ro calls off her wedding, drops the litigation against Craig and takes off in her car, with a worrried Paul racing after her."

Meg declares that she won't let Paul marry Rosanna on Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Well, hey, I say fair is fair. If they're going to change the course of the show for one character, let's have Gwen and Will miraculously get preggers also. Why not? Obviously they don't care. And while we're at it, heck, let's let Ro get pregnant, too. What's good for the goose and all that.

Carly and jack are so repetitive and boring. Either break them up for good or write them out to live happily ever after. I am sick of seeing third parties broken hearted for the sake of creating drama for Jack and Carly!

I remember the show from way back when but I don't remember all the details about Meg not being able to have children. Funny thing about the whole hysterectomy story line....I'm not a doctor but I thought when you have a hysterectomy you don't get your period anymore, so why would she even be looking at the dates of the month? am I crazy?

I can't help it I still love seeing Carly and Jack together! Granted I wish she wasn't lying to him again but I love watching them bicker back and forth. Katie drives me nuts, she needs to get with Brad or find another man
