"Love me," said the man of the sea.
"Come to me in the sea and forever we'll be."
"But my father calls," said the winsome maid.
"And I'm afraid I've strayed."
"Forget him,can you not see my love,"said the man.
"But I am yet young to live away from my father's land."
"But my land is far greater", cried the man of the sea.
"For it resides deep within a sunken volcanic crater".
"Forget me", said the lass with a smile,
"And come again after a while."
So away he was sent,
And away he went,
To come again,
When she would accept him.
