The Body of Myth [mythology, shamanic trance and the sacred geography of the body] by J. Nigro Sansonese "The author concludes through a study of Greek and Judeo-Christian mythology that myths are esoteric descriptions of what occurs within the human body, especially the human nervous system, during trance. The author shows how the human body is an atlas of mythic locale. In that light, myths provide a detailed map of the shamanic state of consciousness that is our natural heritage" I've only just started the book, so no recommendation yet. |

The Raven Warrior Alice Borchardt This is book two in an Arthurian series written by Ann Rice's sister. Except you have to forget everything you ever knew about the Arthurian legend because the woman has changed (ruined) all of it. I don't mind change but the books are horribly written, nearly impossible to follow and lewd. There is some sort of sexual perversion found in every chapter. Most come from Merlin, who she has turned into an evil, perverse, sexual necromancer that gets off on torture. I was just passing time with them until the book I really want comes out next month. I quit reading The Raven Warrior this morning though. |

As well as various papers, etc.... Most of these are good if you've an interest in language and human evolution, with the exception of Guardians of the Lost, which is book two of the Sovereign Stone trilogy and Quilting Illusions...which is a quilting book. :o) -- Sasquatch |
