Okay ... its been a while since we visited Weirdville.
I've had a project over the last few months of creating a vertical shrine, Hecate's wall required 6 shelves painted and installed, a hand crafted hecates wheel as a mandala to hang just above the shelves but at a level where I could look straight into the palm sized mirror I had crafted into the center of the wheel. The area has been dedicated to Hecate for some time so there is definitely invested energy in the crossroads & shrine.
... so anyways the design is perfect in my head, but anything that could go wrong - went wrong. I pushed through with it because it had almost become an obsession, and had to be finished. Once I finally got it together, things started dropping around the apartment - twice things came flying off her wall, and you'd hear loud crashes at various times around the place but find little amiss.
I was checking out the mirror on the wheel when I looked into it and found myself looking into the big bedroom mirror which reflected something that vaguely looked like my room. Trying to look back at my own reflection required a deliberate focus and still seemed slightly unreal.
It got me thinking about pathways and portals, especially since theres 3 different mirrors I can see the wall from. The energy kicking around that space was quite active until I started closing doors and putting a 'lens cap' on the mirror in the hecate wheel.
Since things have quieted down, I'm thinking about using it.
