The Kleenex Forest Destruction Tour is visiting cities throughout Southern Ontario this week, and we need your help! Greenpeace activists are busy this week visiting stores that sell Kimberly-Clark products - including Kleenex - that contribute to the destruction of Canada's Boreal forests.
These forests, which have existed for over 10,000 years, are increasingly impacted by large and ecologically destructive clearcuts. Kimberly-Clark is the largest manufacturer of tissue products in the world and uses over 2.5 million tonnes of tree pulp from ancient forests each year.
We are calling on store managers to return this evidence of ancient forest destruction to Kimberly-Clark, the makers of Kleenex brand tissue products, and we need your help.
Each day this week, we will be asking you to call the head office of a store that we have visited, and remind the company that you don't buy Kimberly-Clark products because they contribute to the destruction of ancient forests.
