~ Green Plays ~
This type of play used to by the old religions as a way of explaining or appeasing nature spirits. Having children devise a green play allows them to think about nature and their interaction with it. Ask them to make up a story about one plant, a nearby woodland, various animals, or anything else found in nature. Be open handed by helping when and where they require it, be it old bedsheets, make-up, or anything else they can think of. You provide the refreshments and let them have a special day to perform their play for you, then sit back and be amazed and entertained.
