~ Gardening and Plant Oracles~
Every child seems to have an affinity with dirt. If you have a garden take advantage of it and give up a small plot for your child's use. Allow them to plant seeds, weed, till, and harvest. In its self this is a fantastic experience from classroom Earth. If you don't have a yard, consider window-box gardening. Their wishes can be planted with a whisper, repeated with each watering, then blossom with the plant.
Another fun past time is plant and flower divination. This can be done in two ways: The first is having the child go into the gardenm and, close their eyes, ask a silent question, then randomly pick a plant. Afterwards you can look it up in a Correspondence listing and show them the connection between the meaning and their question. The second method is to help them create a natural oracle out of dried plants, flowers, and herbs that are glued to stones, wood pieces, or cards and then used as runes or tarot.
