The Dreaming Mind & The Virtual
Reality

What is the function of the human mind? As spiritual warriors, we realize
that we are dreaming all the time. What does that mean and how does it apply to
our daily lives?
November 24th 2008 - As spiritual warriors we recognize that
the function of the human mind is to dream. Most of us associate dreaming with
the activity we engage in at night and consider ourselves awake during the day.
However, this is far from the truth for spiritual warriors! To be awake for us
means that we are seeing directly with our spiritual eyes, rather than aligning
with the virtual reality that results from light interacting with the human
brain.
We are beings of perception constantly receiving information
about our surroundings from our five senses. When we receive light waves from
our eyes and ears, our brain interprets that information and creates a 3-D
virtual reality for us to interact with. For example, have you ever put on those
cool looking headsets that allow you to fight and interact in imaginary computer
worlds? They are using the same process as your own brain does as you are taking
action in a world that is a projected virtual reality.
  As humans, we
cannot perceive the outside world of energy directly since our bodies are not
capable of that function. Our brain must interpret energy or light for us and
create a world of colors and shapes for us to interact in. We rarely take the
time to appreciate this process and as a result make the assumption that what we
see is real. But this could not be further from the truth. All we do is interact
with a virtual realty all day; we never really see the world as it is. Our
spiritual eyes are capable of this feat, not our human eyes. This is why
spiritual warriors say we are dreaming all the time ?day and night ?as the
virtual reality is simply a dream.
For us to wake up means we must
detach from this dream ?virtual reality and learn to see directly with our
spiritual eyes. Otherwise, we are subject to the interpretation of our reality
according to the machine and all its inherent limitations. Not only is our
perception limited by the brain ?but the mind further limits us with its
repository of beliefs and concepts that we use to interpret and filter our
virtual reality through. This makes what we see and hear even further from the
truth.
In the end, we are only seeing from the point of view of the mind,
its ideas, concepts, and judgments. As a result, we are not free; we are
prisoners of the virtual reality until we recognize it for what it is. Now I am
not saying this is bad, it is simply how we were made to function. But to live
our lives only seeing through the machine is denying ourselves one of the
greatest gifts that Spirit has given us.
Carl Jung once said: Your vision
will become clear only when you look into your heart ?Who looks outside,
dreams. Who looks inside, awakens. I encourage you challenge your absolute faith
in your dreaming and learn to waken your spiritual or inner eyes. If you do, the
reward will be great as you will experience the magic of a life without
limitations (remember Neo in The Matrix?).
As always, I wish you the
best on your path. Blessings, Dr. Sheri Rosenthal
