SCRABBLE

BEFORE PLAYING, copy the scrabble board by clicking your left mouse key at the upper left corner of the scrabble board and hold it down. Drag the mouse across the scrabble board until all the squares are highlighted. Click on edit in your browser bar OR click on COPY in your browser bar.

AFTER YOU'VE COPIED THE SCRABBLE BOARD, click on REPLY. When the REPLY screen comes up click on the picture in the header of your REPLY screen that looks like a clipboard with a piece of paper on it. Your scrabble board will appear.

TO PLACE YOUR WORD IN THE SQUARES you must click in the square that you want to place your first letter in. Then move the cursor to the next square and place the second letter and so on.

Please indicate below the scrabble board the word you played. There is a place provided for this that says "WORDS PLAYED". Remember the words must make sense in ALL directions!

Rules of Play

1) A maximum of 7 (new) tiles may be used per turn.

2) All letters played in a turn must be placed in one row across or down the board, to form one complete word. If, at the same time, they touch other letters in adjacent rows, they must form complete words, crosswords fashion, with all such letters. The player gets credit for ALL words formed or modified on his or her turn.

3) New words may be formed by ~

a] Adding one or more letters to a word or letters already on the board.

b] Placing a word at right angles to a word already on the board. The new word must use one of the letters already on the board or must add a letter to it.

c] Placing a complete word parallel to a word already played so that adjacent letters also form complete words.

4) No letter may be shifted after it has been played.

5) Please indicate the word you played and your tallied points.

There is only 1 of these letters J, Q, X, and Z (if it is already in play, you may not use it, unless it is the one in play)

The Board: regular squares are yellow, special squares are as follows:

Rose = Double Word Score Beige = Triple Word Score
Violet = Double Letter Score Purple = Triple Letter Score
