Dear Friends, Some of you may remember back to a time when conversations revoling the Iraq war were banned from the chatroom and monitored on the boards... this was to ensure that no matter what your political opinion was you still had a safe haven to socialize and learn in. Betwixt supported its members right to an opinion but would not in good conscious support the war, this has not changed. However, it has to be noted that politics have heavily flavored the boards of Betwixt for the past few weeks, therefore creating a growing trend that is drawing us away from the spiritual resource that we try to be. The General board is usually the first place guests look ... and what they see is talk of war and strife in a place that strives to rise above humanity's gravests sin and provide the tools of self evolution. The members and guests of Betwixt Sea & Sky are of great value to the integrity of this group .... we have gathered here for various reasons, each to their own as it were. We seek to find a higher meaning or goal in the world we live in ... maybe even make changes where and when we can do the most good. It seems, having watched the boards for many weeks, that many of you both recognize and care about the state of humanity's political and environmental arena. You know where the damaged areas are in our societies and have hoped for changes, even suggesting that if you would do something, then taking action where you could. In order to preserve the spirit and insights that have risen out of recent posts, I'd like to re-introduce you to Badger's group... Thee Star Chamber. For those of you who would care to continue posting information and insights on international or political news .... the News & Activism board is for you ( I would suggest though that you roam the various messageboards, theres some neat stuff in there). I recommend this to you because although I will be actively discouraging politics in Betwixt, but I still want to be able to pursue these truths among friends so you will be seeing my own commentary and curiousity over to TSC in that regard. I admit that I don't post often at Badger's place, but I do think he finds some of the best news around :o) besides I like the links he provides on a diversity of subjects as well. If this decision to remove politics from Betwixt distresses you then I apologize, it is my decision as the founder of this group. I wish to bring Betwixt back on course as a learning resource and still protect our freedom to express our hopes and opinions of the world. The best way I see to do this is to reclaim the boards and open up yet another resource to you, TSC. I have created a bridge between the 2 groups that is a direct link. I would recommend you join in order to post and join the forthcoming conversations :o) theres no requirements... just enjoy yourself. Merry Meet my friends! As Red Phoenix has stated we're shifting our priorities a bit here in Betwixt to try to refine and focus our priorities. Betwixt the Sea and Sky will remain a bastion of information for expanded awareness and spiritual developement that it's always been. That will certainly never change! Betwixt will always be our central gathering point as it were. Thee Star Chamber will be our new hangout for discussing politics, news and activism,etc.. There are also boards for discussing history, entertainment, and just about anything else ya wanna gab about  ...in a bit more of an informal setting. I hope to see everybody checking out and joining Thee Star Chamber very very soon   .....Think of TSC as your after-hours place for relaxing after Betwixting  !! Blessed Be, Lord Badger |

I'm heartened to know you are agreed with this decision. As a humanitarian and socially conscious person, I do what I can where I can and when the opportunity arises. Politics is the grease on this planet, it affects everything, it can destroy but it can also make huge changes that improve the human condition ... its this aspect that has allowed me to try and redirect the awareness that has arisen in Betwixt the last season. I can have my cake and eat it too, lol. I can discuss world events and politics among friends at Badgers place, while still maintaining the spiritual exploration that Betwixt is meant to be. TSC will allow me the freedom to still discuss and learn as well as occassionally comment on homefront politics, while tending to the mandate of of our community. Red, as always a wise and sensitive person...yes, spirituality is why I joined this group and why I love it so much. But at the same time the state of this world is distressing and to have an outlet to express is very needed...in your wisdom you and Badger provide both and do not stray from the original purpose and direction of Betwixt. Bless you my dear, and as always you have my deepest respect for how you run this group. Badger hun, I have not been able to go over and check things out yet as I am working on my pc to rid it of some "goop" that my son brought in with his downloads, but I can tell you now that I will be joining as I know if it is you that is owner of the group then it will be a fine and upright place to enjoy some very good and healthy time...
