Some of my groups are going to Aimoo because Multiply is not very good and very difficult to get around on etc....here is the addie for Aimoo.  They will even move all your files over for you so eveything is kept in tact.....see what you think...Fern

Fern,

I'm in the process of migrating Thee Star Chamber over to Multipy. Multiply does seem kinda rough right out of the box. I'm tweeking away though and hopefully it'll work out fine.

Maybe we should get together with Red in an arranged chat somewhere to discuss Betwixt's migration...

Blessed Be,

I've been in here for the last couple of weeks ... its been strange. I've been trying to save some of the files that are Betwixt in order to put it on a dvd for my library ... I'm only a couple hundred posts into it.  This means I've been reading conversations from 2004 and saving information that is no longer available elsewhere ... I've been looking at my life from the beginning of Betwixt til now, its like finding long forgotten snapshots ... windows in time.

We really have been family to each other over the years and I am astonished that such a diverse group of individuals have come together to create  such an empathically supportive atmosphere and I have to say that I miss this place and am grateful to the Powers That Be that Betwixt was able to exist ... the lessons I've learned, the experiences I've shared and the friendships I have treasured are invaluable.

I've looked at Multiply briefly and am not to keen of the format ... what do you think of it Badger? I've saved Aimoo in order to look into it further as well. Jury is still out on the subject, pending further input.

I love the idea of a chat ... but I want to have a farewell party for Betwixt. Remember the night Nym and I launched it? Actually the one I'm posting in right now is the 2nd incarnation of Betwixt, sadly MSN ate the original not to long ago a.k.a Betwixt's backroom ... we had to have a back up site because of a witch war going on ... wow. Soooo? what do you say? lets find a chat server for a designated weekend in January and send out invitations to all members & friends - past & present.

This is what seems to be the general consensus from the groups I belong to and manage...that Multiply is hard to navigate and hard to understand.  I certainly agree with that...but so far Aimoo seems to be the place of choice and Red...here is a huge bonus...they apparently move all your files for you....there is also a chat room there.   As for a chat I would love to meet up with you but I am on Pacific time and I work till 7:30 weekdays so if you would like me to be there I hope that we can arrange something when I can come....I felt so sentimental when I was reading your post Red....it does feel like a family and I feel so warm towards everyone...I don't want to lose touch...anyway, this will all come out in the wash as me ol' mum used to say...keep me informed please...love to you....

Red,

Multiply is a tough format to work within imo. I haven't been able to work with it much for TSC because Multiply constantly screws up my personal site and I find myself going back to fix it.

The chat in Jan. sounds great...

( p.s.-- That psychic war thing sounds nasty. It seems like a great time for a daily LBRP.)

One good thing I can say about Multiply is that it does save all of the groups posts, pics, files, etc. over to the new site...

A group chat in Jan sounds good to me as well, let us know. Not online much these days, but I'll make it.

Hi,

I've been over to the Aimoo site, it says it'll transfer the files but I haven't discovered how yet, unless its not quite operational. Its got a nice format (pretty standard forum) as opposed to the my space kinda thing. I'm still trying things out but it may be a good place to transfer... its even got a chat room.

Badger ... the witch war comment was in regards to way back when ... like when Sid's Lair went down and all the in-fighting started getting way over the top and down right dirty. Yuck. That experience was what caused me to have to create backup sights.

I'm going to find a chatroom and get it up and running for a 3 day weekend for Betwixt ... from Friday to Sunday :)

I really miss my siggies!

I moved an msn group to Aimoo sucessfully ... it took a little fiddling but the whole thing was moved. I think I'm going to do the same with Betwixt ... but I need to clean it up first because once the move is done the msn controls are disabled - you can't add or delete to the msn group, its archived ... but the Aimoo forum does allow for posting and chatting :)

Guess I better start crawling through this place and fix or remove the gead pages. Anyone know where that list of dead links and pages went?
