Bighand told me that our friend Mehecha has passed away after a long battle with diabetes. Mehecha was a good friend and a noble individual. He served his country well in the Vietnam war. He taught young people the spiritual traditions of his Native faith. He was a member of the Alabama nation.

 

         Mehecha was a warrior and a wise man. Also, he was quite a tricksterish and colorful character. We'll all miss him and honor his memory.

 

         The Wind Deer has returned to the land of the ancestors. May the Gods bless him and guide his path in the Light Divine.
