I watched the news of the horror which occurred in Russia and my heart went numb...shock and disbelief trying to comprehend what had completely devasated the lives of so many.  Innocents all--the children, their parents or teachers.  Whatever flag they fly or goal they are trying to achieve, how do human beings turn into such souless creatures they can perpetuate such evil and carnage?  I don't understand, I don't understand...

Although I am Dutch, my great grandparents came from an area not too far from where this atrocity occurred.  As well, about 10 years ago, I was blessed to help some friends immigrate to Canada from a city I think about 1 hour's drive away; they have cousins there. I can't help but ponder twists of fate and what if's tonight.  I may not be directly connected to this sad and awful event but my heart surely is...
