Wow! thanks Red. That was good timing too, I'm making soap this weekend.
Just a couple hints on the melt and pour soap:
1) You don't have to melt it to the point that it's that runny, infact you may find that it will burn around the edges. Also I have tried the "melt it in the crockpot method", forget it! unless you are willing to leave it on low setting and wait for 2 or 3 hours and stir, stir, stir and did I mention stir. Ya like every 10 minutes or so.
2) I have done mixing of both herbs and essential oils in soap. I strongly recomend that you mix the ground herbs in first and the finer they are ground the better. Otherwise the soap will be scratchy. Mix your essential oils in last and quickly. Remember the essential oils are very volitile and evaporate quickly, so the cooler the mixture is and the quicker you stir them in the more will stay in the soap.
3) Most recipes I have found recomend not more than 1 teaspoon / pound of soap. Personally I used a bit more, like 1 1/2-2.
If anyone tries this soap recipe let me know how it turns out. And if you need help, let me know.
Peace and Love
