Friendships or Relationships Long-distance  (1) Extreme long-distance relationships or friendships are difficult at best and both people must be quite mature, truthful and sure of each other to enter into one;  Example all your new cyber friends live in Canada, UK and Scotland and you live in the United States. (2) Waiting a long time to meet is surely a formula for setting yourself up for disaster; Example you have been chatting with the same new cyber friends for two years and have never met. (3) Don't put your heart into a relationship or friendship until you meet in person;  Example your really believe that these new cyber friends will be your new best friends.   (4) The truth is difficult enough to determine in person and almost impossible to know if the person is truthful over the Internet.   Example Vegas Babe, Paul Newman or Krusty the Clown (5) One should, if at all possible, enter into a relationship or friendship where the other person is accessible within the time of a comfortable driving trip. Example make new cyber friends locally or closest city. (6) Do not maintain a long distance friendship or relationship with someone that is so needy.  The other person does not own a home, does not have any money and is always poor mouthing should send up a red flag. (7) DON'T expect everyone to understand or take it seriously as you take it. (8) Trust is a major necessity if you wish to have your relationship from a distance. Without trust and honesty, the relationship is in for danger and unsuccessfulness, just as it would be any other relationship. Being paranoid and accusing will only grow doubts, insecurity and tension between you and none of those three will help the relationships or friendships survive successfully.
