Internet Explorer allows you some measure of control over children's browsing through Content Advisor. It is password controlled, and allows you to set limits on language, sex, nudity and violence.
To set limits in Windows 98 or Windows XP, open Internet Explorer. Then:
--Click Tools>>Internet Options>>Content.
--Under Content Advisor, click Settings. Establish your restrictions and click OK.
--Enter a password and click OK.
If you should forget your password, you can enter a new one:
--Start the Registry Editor (click Start>>Run, enter "regedit" and press OK).
--Click Edit>>Find
--Enter "ratings" (without the quotes) in the box; click Find Next
--Drill down to the one line that contains this below:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft \Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Ratings
--Right click the Key value. Select Delete
--Close the Registry Editor and reboot the computer
--In Internet Explorer, click Tools>>Internet Options>>Content
--Click the Disable button and enter a new password
--Click OK and give yourself a pat on the back!
They can change it back, probably know how how at 2
