OUTRAGEOUS!  UNREASONABLE!  IMPOSSIBLE!  INCONCEVEABLE!

They actually want me to clean my desk at work!  HA!  Have you seen my desk?  It is my fortress of solitude!  Piled high with a myriad of important contacts, manuals, notes, equipment, cords, plugs, a dangly thing and some sort of residue from a granola bar that went native last week!  They would have you believe there is a desk top under all of this!  HA!  Sure, something has to be holding all of this stuff off of the floor, but I just figured it was one of those "mysteries of the universe" kind of deals.  Clean my desk indeed!  Next they'll want me to clean up my lab area and put my tools away!  ..wait!  Hold it!  Cool!  an M&M!..(crunch crunch)

Can't you just bring Diann in and point her at it? She keeps order in your house, doesn't she? I realize your garage/shop is off-limits, but that's because you made it that way. I bet if you asked her nicely (and maybe took her out for a nice dinner afterwards) she'd whip that desk into shape like nobody's business. Better not ever let her get her hands on your shop! : )

Bah!  Time to find another job.  I had a desk once too, right here to the left of the computer...  somewhere...  I know I did.  I catch glimpses of it every blue moon, or if the cat jumps up there and knocks a bunch of stuff on the floor so that the nature of the thing that holds all that stuff up.

Cyndy, are you trying to get Adam clobbered? If my husband asked me to go into his work and clean his mess off his desk, well, let's just say, he may have a need to join this group. ;p

Ha ha, I loved that one.  After you have been married for over 24 years you start running out of stuff to get one another for b-days.  Well my dh's is on the 20th and I could not think of what to get him until lately.  With school starting, football games, senior portraits, etc. my husband has gone nuts with his photo business.  With all the files, photo package papers, photo orders, etc. everything keeps getting burried on his desk and he cannot find a thing.  I came up with getting him a hole set of organizers and lableing them for him.  Your post made me think of how good of an idea that will be.  Only if he doesn't bury them in the process, lol. Oh and he'll also need a garbage can instead of the floor too.  If only they made something to get his coffee mugs to the kitchen sink! haha Oh he has me for that.
Good luck with your pile you may be surprised by what you may find.  Maybe the rest of those M&M's.
