Hey I know about 2 years ago we actually had a chat room all set up .....now it goes to that oasis site and says I have to creat a chat room??????So I am lost not that knowledgable......but if we don't have chats anymore no reason to create one right???????

Hannah PAID for the Oasis chat room for a year (as I did last year) so our members COULD create a chat room whenever they wanted to, Dale. All you have to do is post here that you'll be there for a while and when, and then be patient, and hope someone sees the post. It may take a few tries, but eventually you'll find a good time for several people to get together. The nature of this group is that we never know when we'll feel up to chatting, and since MSN took away the chat rooms, Oasis seemed to be the closest "fit" to the old format. Unfortunately, unless someone sits in it all the time, it doesn't stay open. Not that we've figured out yet, anyway. If some of you want to come to a consensus about regular chat times, we can work something out, maybe. But Dan doesn't do chat, and I don't do evenings before 11 PM Eastern time.

I've never been comfortable with chat. I don't even have a chat client like ICQ or even the Microsoft chat client active. When I did have those things I found I spent all my time on them and didn't get anything else done. So I just got rid of them and life has been good ever since.

There's really never been a big demand for chat here. Every now and then a few of you all get together and open a room somewhere, but even when we had it as part of the group, it wasn't used regularly. If someone wants to try to get a regular chat going, they're welcome to give it a try. There may be more of a demand than I know of.

I am going to leave the room, and try to re enter, to make sure I did create a permanent chat room.

I may have messed up when I tried to do it before, but, I have paid for a year's worth. Please feel free to use it any time you feel like it.
