Call the doctor's office first thing Monday morning and tell them to start copying your chart, if they have not done so already. Tell them that you will be there at a certain time, you pick out a time that you can be there. Make it before the end of the day tomorrow. You need to get your chart ASAP before they change anything in it. As the others said, she is probably changing entries in it as quickly as she thinks she can. But if she is re-dictating them, that usually takes a day or two for the transcription team to get them typed and in your chart. So you need to act fast. If you can, try to get your chart tomorrow.
I just thought of something else for your pain meds. Does your city have those "emergency walk-in" clinics or doctors? Ours does. I don't know how common that is in parts of the country. We have these docs that work without appointments and patients are allowed to come without appointments, they are usually patients that might not have a regular doctor and might have had an emergency type issue come up in their life. You could go to a place like that rather than the ER if you have one of those in your city. I have never been to New York so I haven't a clue. (I'm in Texas.)
I'm keeping you in my prayers.
