I am soooo glad to report that the occipital neuralgia which arose after the reconstruction of my cervical spine, and after such intensive investigation via CTs, MRIs & examinations, has mysteriously departed. maybe not so mysterious as 9 days ago, after my 6-month post surgery check-up, my surgeon said i could start back in on Celebrex. Within 6 days, the neck/head pain seemed to go away so, it seems, the neuralgia may have been an inflamitory process which is not being controlled by the anti-inflamitory drug. My response: HOORAY! May it remain so. Now if only i can get off the opioids..... i wish only good and pain free days to all. |
