| Hi I am Paul and I use methadone for pain and like Dan said there are no real side effects except for the constipation and just sleepyness at times. It works well for my pain because I have pain in neck- both arms- lower back- hip and leg pain all from nerve damage from surgeys. Hope that helps- you may find you need to get the right dose for your pain level and remember that you always will have some pain even with taking any kind of narcodics for pain but if you can get your level down to a 3-4 out of 10 then you are doing good- I am at 5 most of the time but find it managable.
