I am hurt as well and just need to SHOUT ... Our so called friends ( the ones which dont bring stuff back ) have really upset me....this could be a long story sorry.

Denis and Alison sell old farm houses etc and John is a agent for a builder of new builds. John and Denis have sat down over a beer discussing it, no problem. They also talked about linking the web sites and if we introduced anyone to them or vice a versa we all get a little back hander!!! We see them everyday and as there is an hour between Harry and Tom come out of school quite often I go for a coffee with them. Anyhow I am a moderater on a Spanish forum and they joined this weekend and have been plugging their website, which is fine but when I looked at it.....they are selling the same properties that we are. Even thatsnot the problem, its the fact he got all the info of John and then went to the builder and asked to sell them for him and never said anything to us.....they come round our house, we are meant to be friends and they say nothing.... Maybe we are overacting but it has upset me. I find it really underhand... I took the kids this morning and Denis said morning, I answered but I just couldnt look at him. I dont want to have a fall out cause the kids are friends but how can you trust someone like that....

I'd be angry too, Nic, but what you shouldn't do is go charging in. Leave it a couple of days for you to calm down and then confront them and ask why they did it.

Better still, get John to.

Thanks Jo, we have alreaky decided to say nothing until we have calmed down but it will be hard to be civil to them

I dont blame you for being angry mate!! Thats a rotton thing to do to friends.

I hope you manage to find out why they did it without falling out.

let me get this straight................

your selling houses on your website and they sell houses on theirs but your selling the same houses

and went the builders to see if they can sell those houses but not tell you .........................are you selling the same houses as they are.......................

or are they selling same houses as you but never told you they were selling them to

i would ask them about this when you have gathered you thoughts and calmer

because if there good friends they would not of done this in the first place .

John spoke to Denis and to cut a long story short, he says they were on his web site for ages and just never mentioned them ...yeah right but I cant be bother to argue , lets just say they wont be invited round for a BBQ for a while....
